We contacted this trust at just the right time as they are turning the Hospital into a ‘Super Hospital’. This involves closing down the existing and moving departments into the new build. Until we got in contact all the old Hospital furniture was being skipped and landfilled with very little being recycled.
Since we started work with the trust we have now recycled over 40 tons of furniture saving approx 40 tons of CO2 as opposed to the items being landfilled. We have recycled everything from desks and chairs to hospital beds. We even managed to source companies to take away unwanted Vented Hood machines and industrial Freezers at no charge.
Interchange provide a certificate after each department has been cleared stating all the items, their weight and the CO2 saved.
